Francesco Prandoni/RedfernsMarilyn Manson performed at Knotfest in San Bernardino, California on Sunday, marking the musician’s first show back after he was injured in an onstage incident in September.
During a show in New York City on September 30, Manson was crushed by a large pistol-shaped pop that tipped over and landed on him, forcing him to postpone his North American Heaven Upside Down tour. He’s still recovering from his injuries, though, so he sat in a wheelchair throughout the Knotfest set. You can watch fan-recorded footage of his performance on YouTube.
Even while confined to a wheelchair, Manson’s propensity for shock wasn’t diminished. During his performance of “We Know Were You F****** Live,” he attached his microphone to a fake rifle and pointed it at the crowd. Footage of that was posted by TMZ.
With Manson back on tour, he also debuted his new bassist: Juan Alderete of The Mars Volta. Alderete replaces Twiggy Ramirez, who was fired from the band after he was accused of rape.
Manson embarks on a European tour this weekend. His rescheduled North American trek launches in January.
